Overview & Brief
In 2020, we launched a lockdown design competition to lighten up lockdown life.
The brief was pretty flexible, all that was asked was to come up with an original terrazzo design.
This particular design comes from that very competition, and we are delighted to have helped the designer, Robert Ware, complete his project.
Material
Robert came up with the idea to incorporate brown beer bottles shards into his terrazzo design, based on the increase in beer sales from local breweries in SE1.
To complement the brown, he chose to include some other self-sourced brown stones, and to set it in a gorgeous contemporary grey stone base.
Reception
His design was eventually turned into a fully functioning table for his home. Both Robert and the Diespeker team were delighted with the result!
